- Description: In 1926, at the age of 29 and a father of two children, Giacomo Facchinetti embarked on the adventure of his lifetime: a six-year journey around the world. As he writes in his diary: 'The main purpose of my journey is the practical study of the various regions I will visit, especially the habits of the people of different countries, the climates, the dangers to be feared in wild regions, not only from man but largely from the terrain and its inhabitants.' Facchinetti left Rome on September 30, 1926. The last report about him was made in the Limbani District (Peru) on April 16, 1932, where he died in a landslide
