On October 1, 1928, he departed Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate, accompanied by friends and supporters, with the goal of circling the globe and returning on the President’s 82nd birthday. Juvenile globetrotter visits city. Jimmie Erickson, age 13, juvenile globetrotter of the world, paid the city a visit last evening. Jimmie’s home address is Crookston, Minn. He has just paid his native home a visit. A month ago he bid his Frisco friends a hasty “good-bye” with the promise he would return in ninety days’ time. He is apparently going to make good his promise, for in two days he has traveled one-fifth the distance to his rendezvous.
