- Description: On 26 October 2025, a group of 24 Theravada Buddhist monks from the Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center in Fort Worth, Texas, led by Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra, set off on a peace pilgrimage to Washington D.C. After 108 days and approximately 3,700 km (2,300 miles) through the southeastern United States, they arrived at their destination on 10 February 2026. Walking more than 20 miles per day, the monks promoted peace, compassion and nonviolence, distributing "peace bracelets" along the route
