I turisti di Cook erano arrivati e con loro passai più tempo possibile, andando a pranzo e a cena alla loro table d'hôte. Dovevano essere circa centottanta e mi assicurarono divertimento e insegnamenti a non finire. Arrivano in una città come locuste ed è un duro lavoro per noi habitués trovare cibo e alloggio durante la loro permanenza. Gli abitanti dicevano: "Ma hum Sayyahin: Hum Kukiyyeh", (questi non sono viaggiatori, sono Cookii); tuttavia non si può non lodare il signor Cook e la sua organizzazione.
