- Descrizione: John Foster Fraser fu un giornalista e scrittore britannico, noto per aver compiuto uno dei primi giri del mondo in bicicletta. Nel luglio 1896 partì da Londra insieme a due amici, Edward Lunn e F.H. Lowe, con l'obiettivo di circumnavigare il globo su biciclette a ruota alta prodotte dalla Rudge-Whitworth. In poco più di due anni attraversarono 17'000 miglia (circa 27'000 km), toccando Francia, Germania, Russia, India, Giappone, Stati Uniti e molti altri paesi. Il viaggio fu documentato nel libro Round the World on a Wheel, che ottenne grande successo e fu tradotto in diverse lingue
