- Description: Dorothy May Pine graduated in nutrition from the University of Kansas, where she met Robert Eugene Pine, whom she married on 26 July 1942. Robert served as a naval aviator for 22 years, after which the couple retired to Boulder, Colorado in 1963 and began travelling together extensively. Dorothy became the first woman to visit all destinations defined by the Travelers' Century Club (TCC) - 192 countries and 123 territories, island groups and special destinations, totalling 315 locations - and the couple became the first in the world to do so together. In 2006 they were recognised by the Colorado Senate and Colorado House of Representatives as the world's most travelled couple.
