• Description: Marvin "Tajo" Tajana and Nicola "Nic" Ritter departed from Ticino in April 2026 on touring bicycles with the goal of reaching Sydney, Australia, by April 2027 - a journey of approximately 25,000 km through 25 countries. Their route has covered Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. In Kazakhstan, Marvin suffered a knee inflammation that temporarily halted his progress; Nicola continued alone to the Uzbek border before the two reunited. The journey is linked to Seed of Light, a volunteer association founded by Nicola that finances initiatives for solidarity and sustainable development in rural areas of Nepal, previously described by the same protagonists at TEDx Bellinzona. They finance the trip with minimal resources, relying on the hospitality of strangers for food and accommodation
