- Description: Bartolomeo Cometti and Luigi Francesco Gazzone were Italian motorists from the Ossola Valley, Piedmont. On 22 November 1932 they departed on a world tour aboard a small car they named "Caravella", a modified Temperino vehicle. Their documented route covered northern Italy, southern France, the Spanish Mediterranean coast as far as Gibraltar, and North Africa (Algeria, Tunisia). The journey continued through Africa and Asia, with a return to Europe in 1939. They financed the journey by selling postcards
