Description: According to contemporary press reports, Demetrio Dann, a Romanian globe-trotter, was undertaking a round-the-world journey on foot. By the time of his appearance in Lugano, he had already covered about 19,000 km (11,800 miles) and claimed to have visited 75 countries.
