- Description: E. Kandiah, a cyclist and traveler from Ceylon (present-day Sri Lanka), authored Round the World on Cycle from the Middle East to Ceylon, published in Madura in 1938 by C.M.V. Press. This volume recounts the final stages of a round-the-world bicycle journey, tracing Kandiah’s return route from the Middle East to his homeland. It provides valuable first-person insight into early global mobility from a non-Western perspective - a Ceylonese traveler navigating the colonial world by bicycle in the interwar period
